Emerging Technology

Bringing what’s next into government now.

Our Approach

Driving relentless innovation.

Emerging Tech Partners

We work with early-stage companies building disruptive capabilities and incorporate their technologies into GDIT solutions to explore, test, and integrate new capabilities into government missions. By aligning their innovations to real program needs and offering pathways to federal adoption, we help these companies grow their footprint and win new business.

Venture Capital and Accelerator Networks

We build relationships with venture capital and accelerator partners to share insights, shape pipelines, and connect high-potential capabilities with government use cases. These partnerships support solution integration, teaming opportunities, and new market access.

Research and Academic Institutions

We engage with research institutions and universities to stay informed on foundational science, emerging concepts, and long-horizon R&D that shape future mission needs. Their insights help us anticipate trends early and support exploration that informs future solution development. These partnerships also help us tap into early talent and serve as a recruiting pipeline for future technologists.

What emerging tech looks like in action.

IonQ

Mission Outcomes Driven by Quantum

GDIT is partnering with IonQ, a leader in quantum computing, to enhance classical computing with quantum capabilities for intelligence solutions. By applying quantum algorithms to imagery analysis workflows, we’re bringing enhanced mission value to our customer’s existing analysis capabilities.
Seekr

Enhanced Cybersecurity Operations

GDIT is collaborating with Seekr, a generative and agentic AI company, to help bring autonomous and adaptive AI capabilities into the security operations center (SOC). Together, we’re advancing how cyber teams detect, prioritize, and respond to threats in real time and enhancing decision making and resilience across missions.
SpectrEdge

Advanced 5G Aerial Coverage

Through our work with SpectrEdge, a startup pioneering 5G edge networking, GDIT is delivering mission-ready connectivity in denied, degraded, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) environments. Their platform, which is deployable on drones or tactical vehicles, extends private 5G networks to keep operators securely connected wherever the mission goes.

Technology Labs

Our customers require rapid innovation to drive mission outcomes and operational efficiencies. In collaboration with our commercial technology partners, GDIT has invested in technology lab environments to accelerate the development of cyber, AI, software development, and cloud solutions.
