Job Description

GDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the EHR platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities. 

  

Our work depends on a Sr. Knowledge Management Specialist joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Sr. Knowledge Management Specialist supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the PMO for contract management execution support. 

  

This position is fully remote!  

HOW A SR. KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

  • Support the Knowledge Management (KM) and SharePoint (SP) team as the primary function, with secondary support to the program team. Workload split: 80% KM/SP support and 20% program/meeting support 
  • Monitor, triage, and track KM tickets, coordinating resolution with appropriate stakeholders 
  • Assist with SharePoint content uploads, metadata tagging, and document upkeep 
  • Conduct content reviews for SharePoint governance recommendations 
  • Support documentation and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
  • Help build out the Lessons Learned database, formalizing process and usage 
  • Contribute to SharePoint site cleanup by identifying duplicate or abandoned libraries, lists, and content 
  • Coordinate meetings and capture action items and accurate meeting minutes for KM and program-level meetings 
  • Provide coverage for overlapping or conflicting meetings, especially during staff leave 
  • Support GovSlack administration 
  • Offer general program support including communication coordination and ad hoc tracking/reporting 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 
  • Expertise in SharePoint - including document libraries, metadata tagging, lists, and permissions
  • Experience with documenting meeting minutes and action items
  • Experience supporting technical, clinical, or PMO teams 
  • Experience with supporting change management, reporting, and workflow tracking 
  • Experience with determining issue resolution pathways/escalation 
  • Experience with tracking milestone progress during development and implementation phases 
  • Experience with coordinating communication across functional teams 
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with GovSlack, Slack, or other team collaboration platforms 
  • Familiarity with knowledge management concepts and structured documentation practices 
  • Experience supporting federal contract program manager
  • Task management experience and/or skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal/external teams including key stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program
  • Excellent written communication skills

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $96,034 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
